Unlimited technology from the whole universe and we cruise around in a Ford P.O.S.
—Agent J.

The 1987 Ford LTD Crown Victoria, to which J derisively reffered to as a "Ford P.O.S.", was a MiB standard issue vehicle driven by Agent K at the time of J's recruitment. It was multi-facated having been modified with an alternate mode of operation. When initiated, the car reconfigured itself to display large twin rear-exhaust thursters to achieve extremely high speeds.

Men in Black[]

The auxiliary mode was activated with a red button adjacent to a floor mounted lever, and was only to be used in very special circumstances. One notable example was when K made J push the button in order to bypass gridlock traffic in Queens tunnel being pressed for time. The car went fast enough to defy gravity and ride along the roof of the tunnel, essentially "flying" above the traffic below.

The car is also seen on display outside the Men in Black: Alien Attack attraction at Universal Studios Florida.

Men in Black: The Series[]

The LTD is seen in various episodes of the animated series. It serves as J and K's primary mode of transportation. The only episode where it was not prominent was "The Sonic Boom Syndrome" where Eidi totaled the LTD and K, L and Aileen were forced to use a temporary rental car until the LTD is repaired.

Men in Black II[]

Though not featured as prominently, a fleet of LTDs are seen in a garage along with J's 2003 Mercedes-Benz E500 (W211) that replaces the LTD from the previous film.

Men in Black II: Alien Escape[]

The LTD is seen in the video game and is used as a playable vehicle.
